There is no single action to achieve sustainability. That's why we assume responsibility in all areas of our daily activities: socially and corporately, economically and ecologically, ethically and morally, analog and digital. This holistic approach is part of our company culture.
For us, sustainability begins with programming. The more valuable the code and the more future-proof the software architecture, the longer the life of the solution. How do we achieve this? Quite simply: With the right open source ethos, open standards and a culture of participation that passes on gained knowledge instead of pure intake.
We believe that our differences are what makes a team great and drive us truly forward. Diversity and Inclusion have become the key to make our company successful. In order to constantly improve ourselves, a dedicated working group has covered topics related to diversity since 2018: from the application process to Peerigon language and events, we want to create a general awareness of the topic.
For us, fairness is more than just a word — it's many: Honesty and respect for people and society. Fair wages. Give and take. Sustainable use and protection of resources.

The Charta der Vielfalt (Diversity Charter) initiative was launched in 2006. Its goal is to promote the awareness and appreciation of diversity in the workforce in Germany. To date, more than 3,400 companies and institutions with a total of over 13.3 million employees have signed the charter. Peerigon signed the Diversity Charter on Diversity Day on May 8, 2020.
At the end of the day, it's all about numbers. The 2018 Peerigon Company Report reveals in one year we have emitted around 20 tons of CO2, bought 50 kg of fair trade coffee, traveled almost 22,000 km by train, and much more.
And what happens if we are not programming any software in the moment? Then we get involved in our community and start partnerships. Twice a year we donate a part of our revenue to selected projects and organizations.
Sustainability is an issue that affects us all. And starting a dialogue is a first step in the right direction. Please write to us!
