Job Opening | Senior UX/UI Designer (m/f/d)
You think about UX and UI in a holistic way, enjoy solving complex challenges with structure and clarity, and care deeply about maintaining high design quality. As a Senior UX/UI Designer, you take responsibility for the concept and design of advanced, high-impact interfaces and move projects forward both visually and strategically. You guide the entire design process — from research, information architecture and interaction design to UI concepts and design systems. Throughout this work, you collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, make confident design decisions and ensure that user needs and product goals come together seamlessly.
Your profile
What you bring to the table
-
Experience & Expertise: You hold a degree in Communication Design, UX/UI, HCI or a comparable qualification, and you bring 6–12 years of professional experience in UX/UI or related fields. Your portfolio demonstrates design maturity, systemic thinking and your ability to solve complex design problems with structure and strategic clarity.
-
Location: You currently live in Augsburg or the surrounding area.
-
Teamwork & Communication: You enjoy working in interdisciplinary teams, communicate clearly, empathetically and convincingly, and can defend design decisions confidently — even under pressure. You handle feedback gracefully and actively contribute to an inspiring design culture.
-
Technical Skills: You are highly skilled in Figma, design systems and complex interactions. A11y, prototyping, responsiveness and technically sound, scalable interfaces are a natural part of your work. You have a strong sense of trends and think visually, structurally and systemically at the same time.
-
Languages: You speak fluent German and English and communicate confidently in a variety of professional contexts.
Your area of expertise
- From the first idea to final rollout, you work in close collaboration with developers, stakeholders, product owners and clients, steering projects both conceptually and visually.
- You lead UX research, ask the key questions and create solid foundations through workshops — including user personas, information architectures, flows and interaction concepts that move the project strategically forward.
- You create structured sitemaps, detailed user flows and wireframes that make complex usage scenarios understandable for everyone involved.
- Using Figma, you design scalable, high-quality UI systems, integrate A11y standards effortlessly and build consistent components, patterns and prototypes across different breakpoints.
- Throughout the entire product lifecycle, you ensure that design and development share a common vocabulary, moderate regular reviews and maintain a clean design-to-dev integration.
- You facilitate workshops, design reviews and internal alignment sessions, communicating design decisions clearly and solution-oriented — even in challenging situations.
- You support colleagues on a professional level, contribute methodological and process improvements and confidently represent Peerigon externally, for example in demos, client meetings or community events.
